Halcyon Symbios Tank Pod
The Halcyon Symbios Tank Pod works in conjunction with the Symbios Handset and Symbios HUD systems, transmitting gas pressure and diver orientation (trim position).
The Halcyon Symbios Tank Pod can be attached directly to a first stage or mounted on a short HP hose with a swivel for greater flexibility.
The tank pod uses a high-resolution digital tank pressure sensor, a 3-axis accelerometer to measure the position of the diver (tilt), and a sophisticated transmission protocol based on a 125 kHz magnetic carrier that allows for high data rates and short transmission packages, helping to avoid data collisions when multiple wireless devices are used simultaneously. It is powered by a user-replaceable CR123 battery.
For more details, visit the Halcyon Symbios Tank Pod page.

Product FAQs
Can the components in the Halcyon Symbios Package be used independently?
Yes, the components can operate independently. You can dive using just the wrist handset or exclusively with the hands-free HUD. However, when paired, they share data seamlessly, allowing you to use one as your primary display and the other as a buddy screen or secondary monitor.
Which decompression algorithm does the Halcyon Symbios system use, is it suitable for hypoxic trimix and CCR diving?
Out of the box, both the Handset and the HUD support 5 Open Circuit (OC) and Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) gases. It features dedicated modes for Multi-gas OC, Fixed or Integrated CCR, Integrated Sidemount, and basic Gauge tracking, giving it the flexibility required for hypoxic trimix expeditions and complex rebreather configurations.
How does the wireless connectivity work on the Symbios? Is it better than wired-in systems?
Furthermore, the wireless network is highly scalable; each Symbios computer can track up to 9 independent wireless transmitters simultaneously.
What unique metrics does the Symbios Tank Pod transmit besides gas pressure?
When integrated into the broader Symbios ecosystem, this positioning data maps alongside your depth and gas consumption. It provides technical divers with comprehensive biophysical and environmental analytics to track how gas efficiency correlates directly to horizontal trim mastery.
Does the Halcyon Symbios dive computer require a PC connection for updates, or is there a mobile app?
Through the app's Bluetooth connection, you can wirelessly push firmware updates, manage custom gas libraries, alter specific device settings, and review dive logs. Notably, the app includes a "Dry-Dive" capability that lets you run real-time underwater simulations on your handset or HUD prior to getting wet.
