Halcyon Symbios Tank Pod
The Halcyon Symbios Tank Pod works with the Symbios Handset and Symbios HUD computers, transmitting gas pressure and trim position. Halcyon Symbios Handset and HUD computers can each use up to nine tank pods simultaneously.
Special Order
The Halcyon Symbios Tank Pod works in conjunction with the Symbios Handset and Symbios HUD systems, transmitting gas pressure and diver orientation (trim position).
The Halcyon Symbios Tank Pod can be directly attached to a first stage or mounted on a short HP hose with a swivel, where greater flexibility is needed.
Symbios Tank Pod Features:
✓ High-resolution digital tank pressure sensor
✓ 3-axis accelerometer to measure the position of the diver (tilt)
✓ A sophisticated transmission protocol based on a 125 kHz magnetic carrier allows for high data rates and short transmission packages, helping to avoid data collisions when multiple wireless devices are used simultaneously.
✓User replaceable CR123 battery
Diver Trim:
Divers often aim for a horizontal to slightly positive tilt in their body position while in the water. The SYMBIOS TANK POD, along with a Symbios dive computer, can measure the diver's tilt.
The Tank Pod includes a 3-axis accelerometer that measures the vector of Earth's gravity and calculates the diver's tilt from this.
The built-in trim sensor on the Halcyon Symbios Tank Pod provides continuous feedback on your underwater orientation, specifically your pitch and roll achieved through the integrated 3-axis accelerometer.
This real-time trim monitoring can help you fine-tune your body position in the water. By being aware of your pitch and roll, you can make adjustments to your weight distribution and body posture to achieve a more balanced and horizontal position in the water.
This improved trim leads to greater efficiency by reducing drag, which in turn can help conserve air and energy during your dive. It also contributes to a more streamlined and hydrodynamic dive profile. This feature is particularly valuable for technical divers, cave divers, and underwater photographers who require precise control and manoeuvrability.
Calibrating the system on the surface to do this, via your computer, is easy and requires two steps: Vertical and Horizontal calibration.
Symbios: Sophisticated Wireless Technology
With industry-leading wireless technology, the Symprosis HUD and Handset dive computers can receive wide-ranging data from up to 9 transmitters, including sources such as RB, DPV, HP, GPS/ Positioning systems, Trim, and more.
-
From the Symbios Tank Pod:
Diver orientation (trim position) and gas pressure -
From Symbios connected CCRs:
Oxygen Levels (PO2 on three cells)
Battery charge state, CO2, scrubber temperature, and more -
From Symbios Enabled Products:
Diver location from Symbios GPS POD
DPV of other device battery levels
Runtime, remaining time, battery health, personal performance and/or biometric data
Symbios Technology reduces risk even compared to wired connections, where a corroded wire with high resistance sends compromised data.
Please note: This listing is for the Symbios Tank Pod only which comes in a cardboard box.
For savings, if you only need one transmitter with a Symbios computer, check out the Symbios HUD Computer with tank pod or the Symbios Handset Computer with Tank Pod sets.
