MTX-RC First Stage: Performance at Depth

The cold water rated Apeks MTX-RC first stage features an over-balanced diaphragm. This diaphragm increases medium pressure faster than ambient pressure as you descend. Consequently, this provides superior performance at depth. Furthermore, the over-moulded endcap and environmental diaphragm, combined with the forged 1st stage body, offer maximum thermal performance.

The forged rotating turret has parallel medium pressure ports. As a result, this improves hose orientation. Also, angled HP ports optimise hose routing and transmitter fitting. The 5th 3/8” UNF medium pressure port has a protective bumper.

The forged first stage body includes heat exchanging ribs. These ribs maximise thermal performance. Similarly, the ribbed diaphragm clamp improves heat exchange in cold water. It is suitable for cold water use (below 10°C / 50°F).

Finally, it is Nitrox/Oxygen compatible – up to 40% O2 outside the EU.

Second Stage: Customised Breathing

The MTX-RC second stage has an oversized breathing effort adjuster. Consequently, this makes adjustments easy, even with gloves in cold water. Protective bumpers shield the second stage from impacts and scratches. Additionally, an ergonomic venturi lever is simple to use. The large purge button is easy to access. The reversible second stage works with left or right-hand gas supply.

A patented heat exchanger dissipates cold from gas expansion. It draws warmth from ambient water. Therefore, this creates a comfortable breathing experience.

The innovative Diver Changeable Exhaust (DCE) system lets you change from a small to a large exhaust tee. Both sets of tees are included. Finally, the Comfobite mouthpiece ensures comfort. The flexible nylon braided hose performs better in cold water.
