Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 / G260 Regulator with R105 Octopus

Engineered for tough conditions, the Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 / G260 Regulator System offers compact, comfortable breathing performance through icy depths or silty wrecks.

The R105 Octopus is smaller and lighter than its MK17 EVO predecessor and the MK19 EVO, thanks to a forged body, dry chamber with a twin spring layout for
increased reliability and compactness.

Teamed with the G260 second stage, with its metal internal components, high-flow exhaust valve, diving controls and reversible hose attachment, you’ve got a top-performing regulator system for the most extreme diving conditions.

The Scubapro R105 Octopus offers dependable breathing performance in a classic downstream design with a dive/pre-dive VIVA switch and reversible hose attachment.

What's included

    • Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 First Stage
    • Scubapro G260 Adjustable Second Stage
    • Scubapro E105 Octopus
    • Scubapro High-flow Regulator Hose
    • Scubapro High-flow yellow Octopus Hose

Scubapro G260 offers ultimate breathing sensitivity

Scubapro G260 Second Stage offers effortless air delivery and outstanding reliability, this is the go-to second stage for cold water or technical diving with a chrome-plated marine-grade brass body.

The Scubapro G260 is the most imitated air-balanced second stage of all time.  It smoothes out the inhalation effort at varying depths and supply pressures.

A diver-adjustable inhalation effort knob fine-tunes air delivery to suit changing depths, water conditions and personal tastes. A Venturi-Initiated Vacuum Assist (VIVA) dive/pre-dive switch prevents free flows in cold water.

Rugged reinforced technopolymer design features Scubapro’s largest second stage casing and diaphragm for the ultimate breathing sensitivity, regardless of position in the water.

High-flow exhaust valve reduces exhalation for better overall breathing comfort.

Scubapro G260 Second Stage features metal internal components and a left-right hose attachment option, making it a great choice for tech diving configurations and a consistent top-of-the-line performer.

Metal components (inlet tube, orifice, inhalation control knob and hose connector) increase resistance to freezing when diving in extreme conditions.

The ultra-comfortable orthodontic mouthpiece is easy to grip yet doesn't inhibit airflow.

        • Nitrox compatible up to 40%
        • Weight: 275g
        • Airflow at 2900psi/200bar: 1800 l/min - 64 SCFM
        • Maximum low pressure: 203psi/14bar

Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 First Stage Regulator

The Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 First Stage elevates performance and reliability. It also improves compactness and freezing resistance. Consequently, it stands as a top-tier sealed diaphragm first stage from Scubapro. For many years, the MK17 line has been Scubapro’s leading sealed diaphragm first stage.

Moreover, the MK17 EVO 2 is more compact and lightweight. It exceeds both its MK17 EVO predecessor and the MK19 EVO. Furthermore, a NEW forged body and dry chamber enhance it. A twin spring layout increases reliability and compactness.

Additionally, two newly designed HP ports sit at a 15-degree angle. This design simplifies HP hose routing. Therefore, it eliminates the need for a transmitter adapter. A Scubapro transmitter now attaches directly to the first stage.

Sealed balanced diaphragm design creates a compact first stage. This suits cold water or contaminated diving conditions. Besides, an air-balanced diaphragm delivers consistent airflow. It does this regardless of depth, tank pressure, or breathing rate.

Furthermore, a dry chamber is completely environmentally sealed. A dual diaphragm system keeps out contaminated water. The rib design enhances heat exchange. This makes the first stage cold waterproof.

        • Nitrox compatible up to 40%.

        DIN or A-clamp first stage?

Most of our divers prefer DIN fitting on the 1st stage regulator. A DIN regulator has a threaded post which screws into the inside of a DIN tank valve and has no additional metal or braces that run behind the valve. This, together with the position of its o-ring, creates a more secure seal on the tank.

YOKE (or A-Clamp) 1st stages have an oblong metal brace that completely encircles the tank valve when in place and is screwed down on the tank valve when the yoke screw is tightened.

Both regulators seal to the scuba tank through an o-ring where the o-ring on a Yoke valve is in the tank valve itself as opposed to DIN regulators with their own o-ring.

DIN fittings are commonly accepted as more secure, but Yoke valves are common throughout North America and recreational tourist destinations. A DIN regulator can be adapted to Yoke valves by using an A-clamp adapter for travel.
