Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 C370 Regulator with R095 Octopus
The Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 C370 Regulator blends Scubapro’s top-tier diaphragm first stage. It pairs this with their lightest air-balanced second stage. This combination offers a truly exceptional diving experience.
The Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 first stage is fully sealed from the elements. This guarantees trouble-free operation in any conditions. No matter how cold or murky the water, it performs. This compact stage also provides improved breathing performance over previous models. Its enhanced internal design increases airflow from the LP ports. These ports are reconfigured for better hose routing.
The Scubapro C370 second stage incorporates the best features of its predecessor. It now includes a balanced valve in its design. The exhaust tee, inspired by the S620 Ti, reduces the work of breathing. This makes it an intelligent regulator system for all types of diving applications.
The Scubapro R105 Octopus offers dependable breathing performance in a classic downstream design with a dive/pre-dive VIVA switch and reversible hose attachment.
What's included?
- Scubapro C370 Second Stage
- Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 First Stage
- Scubapro R095 Octopus
- Scubapro High-flow Regulator Hose
- Scubapro High-flow Octopus Hose
Scubapro C370 Second Stage
Air-balanced valve smoothes out the inhalation effort at varying depths and supply pressures.
Compact, rugged fiberglass reinforced nylon casing and new exhaust tee take up little space in a dive bag. The stainless steel frame on the front cover adds the Scubapro C-Series signature.
A new poppet and lever allow the design to maintain the same overall size as the C350. A new exhaust tee based on the S620 Ti's design contributes to better work of breathing (a 10% improvement over the C350)
User controls of Scubapro C370 Second Stage include a diver-adjustable inhalation effort knob and Venturi-Initiated Vacuum Assist (VIVA). The large purge button is easy to activate, even wearing thick gloves.
Compact Hi-Flow mouthpiece improves airflow as well as mouth comfort, fitting all mouth sizes, from smaller to largest
- Weight: 171g
- Airflow at 200bar: 1600 l/min
- Nitrox compatible up to 40%
Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 First Stage
The Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 First Stage elevates performance and reliability. It also improves compactness and freezing resistance. Consequently, it stands as a top-tier sealed diaphragm first stage from Scubapro. For many years, the MK17 line has been Scubapro’s leading sealed diaphragm first stage.
Moreover, the MK17 EVO 2 is more compact and lightweight. It exceeds both its MK17 EVO predecessor and the MK19 EVO. Furthermore, a NEW forged body and dry chamber enhance it. A twin spring layout increases reliability and compactness.
Additionally, two newly designed HP ports sit at a 15-degree angle. This design simplifies HP hose routing. Therefore, it eliminates the need for a transmitter adapter. A Scubapro transmitter now attaches directly to the first stage.
Sealed balanced diaphragm design creates a compact first stage. This suits cold water or contaminated diving conditions. Besides, an air-balanced diaphragm delivers consistent airflow. It does this regardless of depth, tank pressure, or breathing rate.
Furthermore, a dry chamber is completely environmentally sealed. A dual diaphragm system keeps out contaminated water. The rib design enhances heat exchange. This makes the first stage cold waterproof.
- Nitrox compatible up to 40%.
- Diaphragm 1st stage.
- Chrome-Plated Brass construction.
- Suitable for warm, cold, and temperate waters.
- Two HP Ports.
- Four LP Ports.
Scubapro R095 Octopus
Going down with a smooth-breathing backup regulator doesn't need to be complicated. Furthermore, it doesn't have to be expensive for divers. The Scubapro R095 Octopus clearly proves this point.
The R095 is an economical second stage for scuba diving. It features classic downstream valve technology. Moreover, it has a well-earned reputation for both safety and reliability. Designed for extremely easy use in an emergency, the R095 is pre-tuned. This ensures the optimum inhalation volume for safe and uncomplicated use. Consequently, you never have to hassle with control knobs or switches. Simply put it in your mouth and breathe comfortably.
The Scubapro R095 Octopus combines all the great features of the R095. Additionally, it includes a high-visibility yellow purge cover. It also comes with a 39-inch yellow hose. This makes it much easier to share with a buddy who might be in need of air.
For new divers and experienced veterans seeking an economical backup breather, the R095 Octo is a great choice. It is simple, dependable, and offers excellent visibility underwater.
Scubapro R095 Octopus features:
- Classic downstream valve ensures optimal breathing performance for the diver.
- Preset inhalation and Venturi-Initiated Vacuum Assist (VIVA) provide hassle-free air delivery.
- A metal valve housing is built ruggedly. As a result, it increases the overall reliability of the octopus.
- The ultra-comfortable orthodontic mouthpiece is easy to grip. Importantly, it does not inhibit airflow during breathing.
- Weight: 165g.
- Airflow at 2900psi (l/m/SCFM): 1400/50.
- Maximum low pressure: 203psi/14bar.
DIN or A-clamp first stage?
Most of our divers prefer DIN fitting on the 1st stage regulator. A DIN regulator has a threaded post which screws into the inside of a DIN tank valve and has no additional metal or braces that run behind the valve. This, together with the position of its o-ring, creates a more secure seal on the tank.
YOKE (or A-Clamp) 1st stages have an oblong metal brace that completely encircles the tank valve when in place and is screwed down on the tank valve when the yoke screw is tightened.
Both regulators seal to the scuba tank through an o-ring where the o-ring on a Yoke valve is in the tank valve itself as opposed to DIN regulators with their own o-ring.
DIN fittings are commonly accepted as more secure, but Yoke valves are common throughout North America and recreational tourist destinations. A DIN regulator can be adapted to Yoke valves by using an A-clamp adapter for travel.
