Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 C370 Regulator: Performance and Reliability

The Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 C370 Regulator blends Scubapro’s top-tier diaphragm first stage. It pairs this with their lightest air-balanced second stage. This combination offers a truly exceptional diving experience.

The Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 first stage is fully sealed from the elements. This guarantees trouble-free operation in any conditions. No matter how cold or murky the water, it performs. This compact stage also provides improved breathing performance over previous models. Its enhanced internal design increases airflow from the LP ports. These ports are reconfigured for better hose routing.

The Scubapro C370 second stage incorporates the best features of its predecessor. It now includes a balanced valve in its design. The exhaust tee, inspired by the S620 Ti, reduces the work of breathing. This makes it an intelligent regulator system for all types of diving applications.

What's included?

  • Scubapro C370 Second Stage
  • Scubapro MK17 2 EVO First Stage
  • Scubapro High-flow Regulator Hose

Scubapro C370 Second Stage

The compact Scubapro C370 Second Stage builds upon the reliable Scubapro C350. Scubapro now integrates a balanced valve into its design. This enhancement effectively smoothes the inhalation effort. It performs consistently across varying depths and supply pressures.

Moreover, the new exhaust tee takes inspiration from the Scubapro S620Ti. This significantly boosts the overall performance. Consequently, divers will notice a 10% improvement in their breathing effort. This is a notable advantage compared to the previous C350 model.

A compact and rugged fibreglass reinforced nylon casing ensures durability. The inclusion of the new exhaust tee also contributes to space-saving in a dive bag. Additionally, the stainless steel frame on the front cover provides the signature Scubapro C-Series aesthetic.

User-friendly controls include a diver-adjustable inhalation effort knob. The integrated Venturi-Initiated Vacuum Assist (VIVA) further enhances the diving experience. Furthermore, the large purge button allows for easy activation. Divers can operate it comfortably, even while wearing thick gloves.

The compact Hi-Flow mouthpiece optimises both airflow and comfort during dives. Its versatile design comfortably fits all mouth sizes. This ranges from smaller to larger, ensuring a secure and pleasant experience for every diver.

Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 First Stage

The Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 First Stage elevates performance and reliability. It also improves compactness and freezing resistance. Consequently, it stands as a top-tier sealed diaphragm first stage from Scubapro. For many years, the MK17 line has been Scubapro’s leading sealed diaphragm first stage.

Moreover, the MK17 EVO 2 is more compact and lightweight. It exceeds both its MK17 EVO predecessor and the MK19 EVO. Furthermore, a NEW forged body and dry chamber enhance it. A twin spring layout increases reliability and compactness.

Additionally, two newly designed HP ports sit at a 15-degree angle. This design simplifies HP hose routing. Therefore, it eliminates the need for a transmitter adapter. A Scubapro transmitter now attaches directly to the first stage.

Sealed balanced diaphragm design creates a compact first stage. This suits cold water or contaminated diving conditions. Besides, an air-balanced diaphragm delivers consistent airflow. It does this regardless of depth, tank pressure, or breathing rate.

Furthermore, a dry chamber is completely environmentally sealed. A dual diaphragm system keeps out contaminated water. The rib design enhances heat exchange. This makes the first stage cold waterproof.

  • Nitrox compatible up to 40%.

  • Four LP Ports.

DIN or A-clamp first stage?

Most of our divers prefer DIN fitting on the 1st stage regulator. A DIN regulator has a threaded post which screws into the inside of a DIN tank valve and has no additional metal or braces that run behind the valve. This, together with the position of its o-ring, creates a more secure seal on the tank.

YOKE (or A-Clamp) 1st stages have an oblong metal brace that completely encircles the tank valve when in place and is screwed down on the tank valve when the yoke screw is tightened.

Both regulators seal to the scuba tank through an o-ring where the o-ring on a Yoke valve is in the tank valve itself as opposed to DIN regulators with their own o-ring.

DIN fittings are commonly accepted as more secure, but Yoke valves are common throughout North America and recreational tourist destinations. A DIN regulator can be adapted to Yoke valves by using an A-clamp adapter for travel.
