Halcyon Phaser Light - New Primary Light

The Halcyon Phaser Light combines powerful, focused illumination with a compact, self-contained design. Its integrated battery eliminates the need for a separate canister and cable, while the folding Goodman Handle makes it easy to pack for travel.

Built for Straightforward Operation

With 50,000 lux at 1 m, the Phaser delivers a focused beam for illumination and clear dive-team signalling. A tactile magnetic ring switch provides simple access to high and low power modes, featuring roughly two hours of runtime on high or six hours on low. Furthermore, the rear-facing battery-status indicator lets divers quickly check the remaining charge during any dive.

Easy Charging and Power to Share

The rechargeable 29 Wh battery uses USB-C charging, making it especially convenient to recharge between dives. Additionally, it supports reverse charging, allowing divers to power compatible USB-C devices—including Symbios computers and phones—while travelling away from standard outlets.

Halcyon Measuring Diving Light

Halcyon prefers to describe diving lights using lux because this provides a gauge of intensity at a given distance, which is probably more relevant while diving or during signalling. Halcyon typically tests lux output at one, three, and five meters from the light source. These distances appear useful when evaluating intensity for general use and while signalling a dive buddy.

A lux measurement that is very close to the light source will be higher than a lux measurement recorded farther from the same light source because light diffuses as it gets farther from the source. Therefore, you can think of lumens as the amount of light available and lux as the lumens that are actually arriving at the intended target.
