The Apeks XTX50 Single Tank Long Hose Regulator Set is coldwater-rated and features a classic design with a long hose. This popular set combines an Apeks DST first stage with a rotating turret for excellent hose routing. It also includes an adjustable XTX50 second stage as the primary and a non-adjustable XTX40 as a backup.

This regulator provides optimal hose routing for a streamlined setup. Four medium-pressure ports are conveniently mounted on a rotating turret. Consequently, this design eliminates sharp bends in the hoses, enhancing comfort and reducing stress.

XTX50 Second Stage

The classic and popular Apeks XTX50 Second Stage features a breathing effort adjustment. This allows for precise control of your breathing effort during the dive. Furthermore, the XTX50 second stage can be converted from a right-handed to a left-handed hose configuration. This feature is known as the Reversible Venturi System (RVS). Any Apeks Authorised Service Technician can perform this quick and simple conversion.

The XTX50 Second Stage also incorporates the Diver Changeable Exhausts (DCE) system. This innovative system allows divers to switch between a small and a large exhaust tee. For instance, the wider exhaust tee minimizes bubble interference, which is essential for underwater photography. Alternatively, the narrow exhaust tee provides a smaller, more compact, and comfortable setup.

Moreover, the Apeks XTX50 second stage features a two-shot high-strength composite front cover. This significantly improves the durability of the demand valve's most vulnerable part. The ergonomic Venturi lever has been designed to reduce the amount of grit ingress. Finally, a silicone exhaust valve enhances the XTX50 Second Stage's breathing performance.

XTX40 Second Stage

The Apeks XTX40 Second Stage is a highly recommended primary or backup regulator. It features a pneumatically balanced second stage and venturi control for smooth breathing. Similar to the XTX50, the XTX40’s second stage can be converted from a right-handed to a left-handed hose configuration using the Reversible Venturi System (RVS). This conversion is quick and simple for any Apeks Authorised Service Technician.

Additionally, the XTX40 Second Stage includes the Diver Changeable Exhausts (DCE) system. This allows divers to choose between a small and a large exhaust tee. Consequently, divers can optimize for minimal bubble interference during underwater photography or a more compact setup.

Apeks DST First Stage

The Apeks DST first stage features a rotating turret. This reduces hose tension and allows for optimum hose positioning and enhanced comfort. Its unique over-balanced diaphragm design provides superior performance at depth. As the diver descends, the medium pressure gas in the hose increases faster than the ambient pressure.

Furthermore, a dry chamber prevents water from contacting the DST first stage spring. This crucial feature stops freezing in cold water environments. The Apeks DST first stage is environmentally sealed for added protection. It boasts a dry-sealed balanced swivel turret with four medium-pressure (MP) ports and two high-pressure (HP) ports on the body. Finally, it is finished in highly polished chrome for durability and a sleek look.

INTERNATIONAL EXCEPTIONS:

For international orders containing weights, cylinders (excluding suit inflation bottles) and Suex scooters please contact us in advance before placing your order.

These products are not included in our global max-capped shipping rates and are only shipped outside of UK mainland after freight cost is calculated based on total weight, dimensions of parcel, location of delivery and the courier service used. We will let you know what this cost will be before processing any order.

All cylinders we ship within and outside of UK mainland are filled and tested on site before being emptied for dispatch. Cylinders shipped outside of the UK will be empty and will also have their valves removed, requiring reassembly after you receive delivery. Twinset manifolds and bands will also be removed and dispatched together with the cylinders for safe global shipping.

Note that all returned items are shipped at the customer's own risk and remain the customer's property until received by Underwater Explorers, so please ensure they are packaged well and use reliable postal services with tracking facilities. The goods will be inspected on arrival. 

Return postages are at your own cost and our outbound shipping costs (if items are sold with integrated basic shipping charges i.e. Free shipping for orders £45 and above) the UK shipping rate may be deducted from any UK mainland refund unless linked to a fault/defect claim.
