Ammonite Speleo MK II Light with 14Ah Battery
The Ammonite Speleo MK II Light Kit with the Accu 14 battery delivers superior illumination for technical cave and wreck diving. Producing a powerful 3000-lumen output, this primary canister light features a tight 6-degree beam and subtle halo corona. Consequently, divers enjoy exceptional signalling, clear target identification, and reduced backscatter in silted or murky waters.
Ammonite Speleo Light Head Specifications & Features
- Maximum Output: Delivers up to 3000 lumens powered by an efficient 32W LED system.
- Focused Spot Beam: Features a tight 6º beam angle ideal for clear team signalling.
- Three Light Intensity Levels: Offers flexible power settings at 20%, 40%, and 100% output.
- Ultra-Compact Profile: Measures 116mm long by 53mm wide and weighs just 100g submerged.
- Depth-Rated Performance: Built to withstand harsh technical environments down to 200 meters depth.
Engineered from rugged hard-anodised marine aluminium, the Speleo MK II light head resists heavy impacts and salt corrosion effortlessly. Its ergonomic Delrin switch knob lets you change modes easily while wearing thick drysuit gloves. Furthermore, its lightweight profile mounts seamlessly onto any standard Ammonite Goodman handle for comfortable hands-free operation.
Accu 14 Canister Battery & Performance
- 14Ah Capacity: Delivers extended operational burn times for long bottom times and decompression.
- Protected Li-Ion Cells: Advanced circuitry prevents over-voltage damage and eliminates memory effects completely.
- Rugged Anodised Housing: Durable canister casing maintains structural integrity down to 100 meters depth.
- Multiple Mounting Options: Features a standard belt loop, with Sidemount and Accu Clic mounts available.
- Burn Times: Operational mode 16.45 hrs / Boost Mode 4.10 hrs
The high-performance Accu 14 battery pack provides clean, reliable power through long cave penetrations. Encased in a hard-anodised canister, this lithium-ion battery complies fully with international UN/DOT 38.3 transport standards for safe airline travel. In addition, its smart microchip system monitors power discharge continuously to optimise total light output during dives.
Versatile Modes & "Take Me Home" Feature
- Three Operational Modes: Select Boost (100%), Operational (40%), or Back-Up (20%) brightness settings.
- Low Battery Strobe Alert: Flashes a distinct warning signal when cell voltage drops low.
- Automated Emergency Power: Switches automatically to 20% output to conserve remaining battery energy.
Adjusting power settings helps manage battery consumption and prevents glare in tight conditions. When the Accu 14 battery approaches depletion, the light flashes and activates emergency "Take Me Home" mode. As a result, the light drops to 20% power, providing over an hour of extra light to finish your dive safely.
