Consistent quality and enhanced performance in a reliable primary underwater dive light are what the Ammonite LED SOLARIS NextGen light head is about.
It's built to withstand the harshest underwater conditions and as part of Ammonite's modular light head and battery systems, can be used with any Ammonite (canister) battery depending on your diving style, the burn time you need and preferred configuration.
The Ammonite LED SOLARIS NextGen light head is a universal primary dive torch that will pump out up to 4500 lumens of light with a narrow 6º beam surrounded by a bright glow that spills out around the central beam.
This listing is for light head only. External Rechargeable Battery, connector cables and handles are all included in the Solaris LED Kit (packages) if you need the whole system or can be purchased separately.
CONSISTENT QUALITY AND ENHANCED PERFORMANCE
The LED SOLARIS NextGen has a tough aluminium design offering protection against knocks and scratches, a substantial 200m depth rating, and an ergonomic design that’s very comfortable to use.
PERFORMANCE AND COMFORT
The LED SOLARIS NextGen provides up to a massive 4500 lumens of light on full power but has three power modes.
100% BOOST will give you the brightest light but tax on burn time, while the regular OPERATIONAL mode will give you the best of both worlds: A very decent runtime and powerful light.*
The BACK-UP mode can be used both to preserve battery and adjust brightness levels to eliminate backscatter in murky water. It is also a safety feature in case the battery is drained, allowing a decreased 20% light output for the return to surface.
*The burn time of the light will depend on what level one has chosen.
DURABILITY AND RELIABILITY
The light head is built from quality marine aluminium alloy covered with hard anode making it resistant to corrosion and mechanical scratches.
It's easy-to-operate switch knob is made of lightweight but very tough and resistant to environmental conditions polymer (Delrin®).
The 6 mm front glass is made of highly resistant tempered glass and able with withstand the light's depth rating of 200 metres.
The electronics in the headlamp control the condition of the battery.
The inner microchip system signals low battery level with a strobe flash and automatically switches to back-up mode (light output at 20% light intensity) when the battery is drained.
LED SOLARIS NextGen remains in this mode regardless of the position of the switch until the battery is recharged.
COMPACT DESIGN
Heavy-duty hard anodised aluminium alloy casing, only 117mm long and 61mm wide in diameter.
Yet while exceptionally durable, this light head only weighs 340g (130g in water), making it easy to hold by hand or use with one of the Ammonite System Goodman handles so you have lots of flexibility.
