The vest is designed to deal with core temperature drop particularly at the ascent phase of a dive where there is a lack of physical activity. Uniquely the SP Heated Vest covers the lower back, providing heat to the vital kidney area. (Vest + Valve only, does not include torch, battery and canister-side connector).

Depending on battery and light combination used the 'burn time' can range from 60 to 270 minutes (1 to 4.5 hours).
