DivePro CL4200S Dive Light - Sidemount

The DivePro CL4200B Torch is a powerful and robust technical dive light with a 6º spotlight surrounded by a floodlight at around 60º running up to 4200 lumens, making it an ideal tool for all purpose diving as well as in-water signalling.

Made out of durable aircraft-grade aluminium, it has a run time of 210 minutes on high power (4200 lumen) which is extendable to 400 minutes on medium (2000 lumen) power and further on using stepless dimming from 100% to 1%.

Package contents:

The DivePro CL4200 comes in a classy purpose built hard box with protective foam slots made for safe transport yet classed as packaging and disposable (the box is therefore not subject to any warrant).

Inside the box is the battery canister, torch head and cable, battery protector cap, charger, plug adapters for various countries and any tools a diver may need to make adjustments. Included are an aluminium adjustable goodman handle that easily screws into the torch head with its supplied screw and a soft goodman handle for those who want the extra comfort.

Light head and adjustments:

The light head isn't the smallest on the market but is extremely powerful. It's made out of aircraft-grade aluminium and has an aluminium alloy reflector condenser system with a single CREE XHP70.2 LED and variable power modes. The beam itself is sufficient for long-distance underwater signalling even in adverse conditions with a strong inner 6º spotlight beam at the centre and an approximate 60º floodlight aura around it.

The light head weighs slightly over 400 gr on the surface, measuring just over 10cm in length with a cone structure from the cable end of 4.5cm to 7cm at reflector.

The torch is operated via a 316 stainless steel push button on the head itself which is surrounded by a colour coded battery indicator that cycles from blue to green and then red displaying 70-100%, 30-70% and less than 30% charge respectively. This allows the battery canister to be attached or carried anywhere and even out of the reach of the diver as its user-friendly on-off button is conveniently on the head itself.

Settings on the torch head are easy to use. At the push of a button divers can choose between full power at 4200 lumen, medium power at 2000 lumen (which itself is plenty with about 6 hours of run time) and of course on and off. There is also an emergency SOS mode where the torch flashes.

It's a touch more complicated to use until one gets used to it. The torch also has an AI stepless dimming with memory function allowing adjustments to made from 100% to 1% - 4200 lumen to 42 lumen (which could come handy in conditions where the full brightness of the torch may have impact on visibility.

Canister & charging:

The exceptionally small battery canister of the Divepro is about 17cm tall with a diameter of 5.5cm and weighs only 700gr on the surface. A couple of jubilee clips supplied by manufacturer can be used to make a webbing loop to mount the canister on the waist webbing of a harness system and the cable at around 149cm from end to end including strain reliefs allows for varuous kinds of routing from backmount to sidemount and CCR mount. Indeed if you wanted to, the small canister can easily be put in a BC or dry suit pocket too.

Charging the unit is a breeze with the light head cap of the battery canister unscrewed to expose a double o-ring seal around the threads and a single charge port leading to the battery. A battery protective cover with a charge hole in the middle is supplied by manufacturer to attach the standard charge plug to the battery pack which consists of 8 x 18650 14.4V 6800mAh rechargeable batteries.

Though manufacturer specs put the total charge time at 3 hours we’d advise remembering real charge times depend on how discharged a battery is and Li-Ion batteries do like to be charged slowly.

These products are not included in our global max-capped shipping rates and are only shipped outside of UK mainland after freight cost is calculated based on total weight, dimensions of parcel, location of delivery and the courier service used. We will let you know what this cost will be before processing any order.

All cylinders we ship within and outside of UK mainland are filled and tested on site before being emptied for dispatch. Cylinders shipped outside of the UK will be empty and will also have their valves removed, requiring reassembly after you receive delivery. Twinset manifolds and bands will also be removed and dispatched together with the cylinders for safe global shipping.
