The E/O cord version of Light For Me's innovative NW7 (Narrow Wide Seven LED) diving torch allows the head and battery source to be connected and/or disconnected via the cord itself. It is identical to the original NW7 head other than in cord, and combines the leading traits of the most popular 4TEC and 3XML Alexandra umblical light heads into one compact head as a three-in-one unit for serious divers.

Users can select whether to use 4 narrow penetrative beam LEDs as in the 1200 lumen 4TEC or 3 high power wider beam LEDs of the 3600 lumen Alexandra - plus all of the seven beams combined at the same time with a whopping 4800 lumen of output.

The E/O cord version of Light For Me's innovative (48W) NW7 (Narrow Wide Seven LED) diving torch allows the head and battery source to be connected and/or disconnected via the cord itself, therefore giving a diver the option to change light heads or utilise appropriate heating systems. It is identical to the original NW7 head other than in cord combining two torches in one with three modes and a narrow to extra-wide powerful beam reaching 4800 lumen.

Light For Me NW7 with eo CordThe male/female two pin connection point on the cable lets divers switch between heads or use the canister battery for compatible alternative systems, such as heating. E/O Cord light heads will require compatible E/O cords and fittings on the battery side for a two way connection to be made.  Also, optional E/O Blinding Plugs can also be used to block off both ends.

NW7 E/O Specifications:

  • 3 modes of light
  • 4 LEDs on - 1200 lumens - 5 degrees, 18W
  • 3 LEDs on - 3600 lumens - 70 degrees, 30W
  • All 7 LEDs on - 4800 lumens, 48W
  • Dual channel driver for LED groups
  • Made from anodised aluminium
  • Equipped with piezo switch
  • Head: diameter 64-90mm, length 43mm
  • Almost neutral underwater
  • E/O Connector end on cord

Best of both worlds: Divers have the choice of using two separate sources or light or both together on the NW7 utilising the combined strength of 7 Leds. One group of four XPE II Leds are identical to those in LFM 4 Tec torches while a second group of three XML II Leds is similar to the 3XML Alexandra (but with a wider beam due to reflector). Each can be used individually or both can be used together whether you need narrow beam, wide lighting or a powerful mix of both.

Made from anodised aluminium and equipped with a piezzo switch, the (48W) NW7 modes of light are 1200 lumen, 3600 lumen or 4800 lumens (on full power) with burn times ranging from 2 to 18 hours depending on mode and battery used. The 6° to 70° beam covers a wide range of underwater applications.

All LFM lightheads come with custom made Goodman handles. LFM Goodman handles are made from anodised aluminium, are light, height adjustable and comfortable. They also have additional holes for attachment/mounting. LFM lightheads are connected to the canister by a strong, durable and detachable cable via a male/female RCA connection. The canister cable entry point on the battery is also the charging point for batteries that do not have two ports.

FAQ - What is an E/O Connector/Cord - do I need one?

E/O Fittings (wetmates) are versatile pluggable two-pin connectors which allow divers to utilise their batteries with more than one light head, heating systems etc. by allowing the diver to change what the battery powers. A male-female E/O connector at end of the battery side cord will require a male-female E/O connector on the cord leading to light head or heating system.  The term E/O comes from the first manufacturer of such fittings: Electro-Oceanic Inc. but current connectors on the market are totally new generation,  still referred to as E/O or underwater pluggable cords/connectors. E/O cords may require more care and maintenance than continuous cables especially when/if exposed to salt water. It is recommended the connectors are cleaned and well maintained between dives, not directly exposed to salty conditions.

If you are using your battery canister only to power up your torch, a standard cable will suffice. If you intend to change light heads or use the battery to power more than one element (i.e. torch and any heating system) ensure the battery meets the power requirement of both systems combined. E/O cord option on this item means the battery/canister will have a cord with E/O fitting at the end and the light-head will have a cord with mateable E/O fitting on the torch end. When not in use, each connector can be protected with a Blind [Dummy] Plug.

E/O Cable Connector AccessoriesE/O Y Connector & Blanking Plug

Wetmatable E/O connectors have a wide range of compatible accessories. E/O Y-connectors and Blind [Dummy] Plugs are the most popular accessories used by divers. The Y-connector, also called a Y-Splitter, consists of three waterproof two pole connectors in a single device allowing output to be shared between two devices/systems (i.e. two light heads, a light head and heating system etc) from the same power source. A Blind [Dummy] Plug is a simple two pole dummy connector for protecting unmated connectors against the elements.  These are ideal for heated vests and canister batteries during transport.

Keep in mind: E/O connectors are delicate and any contaminants such as grit, sand, salt residue and similar inside the connector will not allow a connection to be made and could irreversibly damage the cord end.
