INTRODUCTION AND STATUS

The following terms and conditions set out the basis on which all goods (or "Products") are sold by Underwater Explorers Ltd. trading online as DirDirect (or "We", "Us", "Our") to the consumer, ("You", "Your") from our primary website www.dirdirect.com (and all of its online redirects including www.dirdirect.eu / www.dirdirect.co.uk / www.dirdirect.info) ("Site"). These Terms and Conditions will govern any purchase of our products.

www.dirdirect.com is an online e-commerce site with worldwide delivery, operated by the UK-based "brick and mortar" dive store Underwater Explorers Ltd.

We are registered in England with company number 5591766. Our registered office is at Midland House, 2 Poole Road, Bournemouth BH2 5QY. CONTRACT AND ORDERS

When you place an order with us, you make an offer to purchase under these Terms and Conditions and agree to our Privacy, Cookies, Shipping, and Returns & Refunds policies. The contract between us, governed by these Terms and Conditions, only begins after we accept your purchase offer and your order has been dispatched.
You can cancel your order at any time before dispatch for a refund, although orders for certain items (e.g., items made or manufactured to order, such as drysuits, undersuits, and scooters) cannot be cancelled once you have reconfirmed. Exceptions are detailed in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Any product(s) on the same order that are not dispatched do not form part of that contract, even if any item(s) are on backorder.
All products are subject to availability. We aim to list accurate dispatch times and keep sufficient stock levels to ensure prompt delivery. However, items may temporarily run out of stock, or delays may occur due to stock shortages or manufacturer supply chain issues. If your order is affected, we will inform you. You can choose to wait or receive a full and immediate refund (or a partial refund for unavailable items). We do not accept liability for delays caused by stock issues.
If a product or its variant on our site is listed as a Special Order, it means it will be ordered specifically for you from the manufacturer or distributor, and it is not a regular stock item. We reserve the right to refuse any returns of said product(s) for any reason other than defects or warranty issues, given that such item(s) are not part of the stock we keep in store, and returns will be subject to exceptions.
The description of any product is set out in the product listing on this site, but products shipped may differ slightly from the images, as they are for graphic representation only.
We reserve the right to reject any offer at our discretion at any time. Online orders may be declined either wholly or partly at our absolute discretion, and if such an order is declined, any payment made in UK pound sterling (GBP), whether partial or full, will be refunded immediately in UK pound sterling (GBP) to the full amount paid.
Ownership of the product(s) shall transfer to you only after your payment has cleared and on the date the product(s) are delivered to you.
All of our listed product prices include UK VAT where applicable. Our online system automatically deducts VAT when shipping to international customers, and we have procedures in place to deliver to BFPO addresses.
The prices listed on our site may change without prior notice, but any changes will not affect purchases already made. While we aim to display accurate prices, occasional errors may occur. We reserve the right to either contact you for further instructions if an error occurs or to cancel your order and issue a refund, notifying you accordingly.
We ship worldwide, except to Russia and Belarus, and reserve the right to restrict delivery to other conflict-affected regions or areas where local laws, international sanctions, or logistical trade barriers apply. While most of our catalogue is available for global delivery, certain brands (including Fourth Element, Apeks, Aqua Lung, and Scubapro) follow strict trading policies. These agreements may limit our ability to fulfil online orders for these specific products outside of authorised territories.
High-value UK orders and orders from outside the UK will only be dispatched to the registered or verified card billing address if a credit or debit card is used for purchase. Orders paid for via PayPal (and/or PayPal Credit) will only be shipped to PayPal verified addresses unless prior arrangements are made with us.
By placing an order through our site, you consent that, under Data Protection regulations and to fulfil our contract with you, you must provide us with certain personally identifiable information, that our contractual obligation to you is our lawful basis to use and hold this information to process and conclude any order and that we can hold this information on encrypted/secure storage. By placing an order through our website, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract with us and our respective successors and assigns. You also verify that you are at least 18 years old and that you have read and accepted our privacy, delivery, and returns policies and terms as outlined in these Terms and Conditions before making a purchase from our website.
By placing an order through our site, you acknowledge that professional training and certification from a recognised diving agency are necessary to use most of our products (including all products specifically designed for underwater use). Any scuba diving equipment purchased from DirDirect is done so on the understanding that you are trained and qualified to inspect, prepare, maintain, and operate that equipment within your training and experience limits, as well as the limits and purposes specified by the relevant manufacturer.
By placing an order through our site, you agree to follow manufacturer, training agency, and industry guidelines for equipment maintenance and servicing, including, but not limited to, regular visual inspections and functional tests, lubrication, and replacing any O-rings as necessary. Additionally, you agree to perform freshwater rinsing to prevent limescale, chlorine, or saltwater damage after every inland, pool, or sea dive, along with similar protective measures essential for safely operating and maintaining underwater equipment.
All diving-related products listed and sold on our website are intended for recreational use only, as described in conditions (13), (14), (15), and are not to be used or warranted for military, governmental, rental, or commercial purposes. Commercial and military customers should contact us directly for any arrangements or quotes.
We aim to protect legitimate credit card owners from fraud. Therefore, we will report to and cooperate with appropriate authorities investigating any person or entity attempting to use a card or payment method without proper authorisation.
These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights and explicitly cover our Cancellations and Returns Policy and Warranty Policy, which include faulty or defective items, as well as our Direct Shipping Policy. You are advised to read this policy by using the links provided, and it is summarised below for your convenience.
You are not entitled to assign or transfer any of your rights or obligations under this contract.
This contract shall be governed by the laws of England, and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS & REFUNDS

You can cancel your order at any time before dispatch towards a full refund, so long as it is not a special order or tailor-made item which is already in progress. For UK customers, we offer a goodwill extended returns policy for up to 30 days from the date of delivery for unused product(s).

International customers have the right to return a purchase within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is eligible for the statutory cooling-off period and is returned in unused condition, together with its original packaging and tags.

TERMS OF DELIVERY

All orders for in-stock items (listed as 1 to 2 day dispatch) will be processed within 2 working days for dispatch and delivery. We aim to dispatch all goods within 7 days of receiving your order and will notify you in writing if there are any exceptions. While we strive to deliver your order as quickly as possible, please allow 7 working days for UK deliveries and 14 working days for international deliveries. By proceeding to checkout, you accept these terms, which are outlined in detail in our Shipping Policy.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY

We respect your privacy. To process and fulfil your online order, enhance your user experience, and provide information about our site and products, we require some information. This does not include sensitive payment details, which are handled securely by an encrypted online payment gateway or PayPal.
