Source of light
LED is the most effective source of light. For the SMART three powered LED diods Cree XP-G providing 1400 lm are used. They shine with cold white light 6300°K and guarantee 10 000 hours of permanent usage. Exceptionally effective optics concentrates the light in 10° beam and there it is 43 times stronger!

 

Electronics
There is the SMART electronics inside which brings the innovative features to the user. On every start up the lamp pass the battery test giving information about the capacity of the accumulator. Then the user can choose the mode of operation for his dive: full performance 1400 lm with running time 2,5 hours, 700 lm for 4,5 hours or the safety mode 100 lm. In the safety mode it is possible to use the lamp at the surface (for preparing of gear or in dry caves for instance) and it shines up to 24 hours.
When 60% of the capacity is used then the low capacity alert is activated. The light blinks periodically once a minute to warn you that you have only 40% rest. If you switch to lower mode in this time then you get 2 times longer period of operation.
With the overheating protection the smart electronics protects the lamp against the damage and the user against the consequence of the accidental switch on out of the water. The lamp is beeing manipulated with the magnetic ring on head.

Li-Ion technology
Li-Ion batteries are ideal source of energy for the LED. The electronics protects the batteries against the discharging and the clever charger against the overcharging. The batteries has no memory effect that means you can leave them on the charger during the night. Li-Ion batteries provides enough capacity for the long running time keeping the lamp small sized and lightweight.

Material and construction
The new head construction makes the switching easier. No more searching for the small button in the dark. Just turn the magnetic ring in any direction and the light is on. With combination of heavy duty delrin and aluminium alloy covered with the hard eloxal coating the lamp is intended for the use in extreme conditions.
