Shipping Policy & Rates

 

We aim to send your order within the displayed dispatched times* but will inform you of approximate delivery times should any item on your order be out of stock or on supplier back order due to manufacturing and/or transport delays.

OUR SHIPPING CHARGES:

  • UK mainland orders £50 and over: FREE - DPD or alternative courier delivery*
  • UK mainland orders under £50: £5.50 Fixed Rate - DPD or alternative courier delivery*
  • Scotland Highland (inc. AB31+ Post Codes), Scottish Islands & Isle of Man: £11.00 Fixed Rate 
  • Channel Islands & Northern Ireland: £16.00 Fixed Rate
  • European Union: £15.70 + 6% of order value (maximum £35)
  • Rest of the World: £22.00 + 9% of order value (maximum £65)
  • BFPO Post Codes: £23.00 (see Delivery Terms for BFPO at end of this page)
  • FPO & APO Unfortunately, we are unable to arrange delivery to FPO/APO addresses
  • PO Boxes - All our PO Box deliveries need to be signed for, therefore, unless prior arrangements are made with us, we do not deliver to PO Boxes.

*The dispatch days listed in our product listings refer to working days, excluding weekends and UK holidays. Products that need to be ordered from the manufacturer's or distributor's stock, are temporarily out of stock, subject to backorders, or marked as Special Orders, may take longer to dispatch. We will notify you of this once your order is confirmed.

UK AND INTERNATIONAL DELIVERIES

All orders are tracked via courier and may require a signature upon delivery. 

UK customers with orders over £500 will receive PIN codes from DPD to ensure safe delivery. If the recipient cannot receive the shipment, the PIN code can be shared with an authorised person so they can accept delivery on behalf of the recipient.

International deliveries will be handled by appropriate courier services based on the shipment's weight and size. International customers will not pay UK tax but are responsible for any applicable taxes and duties in their own countries and must clear the items through their customs authorities. At checkout, please select the country for the billing and delivery addresses, and UK VAT will be deducted automatically.

All orders will be shipped as a single consignment once all items on the order are ready for dispatch. Partial delivery of such items is only available at our discretion or at an extra cost.

We reserve the right to cancel any transaction and issue a full, immediate refund when deemed necessary due to stock availability or trade restrictions. Certain products, i.e. cylinders and weights, are only listed as available for UK mainland delivery. If you wish to obtain a quote for larger or heavier items to be shipped outside the UK mainland, please get in touch with us for available courier prices.

Although we do our best to dispatch using the quickest method, for international deliveries, please allow up to 14 working days for receipt before contacting us. Unfortunately, we cannot influence delays in local postal services abroad.


Porch Piracy & Reception or Concierge Delivery Warning

Every parcel sent to the UK and internationally is tracked. We instruct couriers to deliver parcels directly to your checkout address. Once a delivery is completed, ownership of the product and the risk of loss or damage pass to you. Please follow the tracking information and instructions provided by couriers for residential and business addresses to prevent porch piracy, tampering, or any damage during delivery. We ship to workplace addresses and buildings with reception or concierge facilities for the internal distribution of delivered items; however, we cannot accept responsibility for any items misplaced, lost, or damaged after delivery to a reception or concierge. Please ensure that anyone receiving the delivery on your behalf is trustworthy and informed in advance on how to handle it. 



 

SHIPMENTS AND TERMS

  1. We will ship worldwide, but local or international restrictions and online trading rules may apply. 
     
  2. We reserve the right to cancel any transaction with an immediate and full refund where deemed necessary.
     
  3. We aim to dispatch stock items within 2 working days. Any delivery date will be an estimate only. We shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our control, including stock shortages resulting from supplier delays. Unless we have contacted you beforehand, please allow 7 working days for UK mainland deliveries before contacting us, and 14 working days for other and worldwide deliveries.
     
  4. Due to the limited availability of some products we sell, a specific item may be out of stock or have a delayed delivery from the supplier. In such cases, we will contact you with an estimated shipping date. If you prefer your order to be sent in multiple shipments, we may do so at our discretion or with an additional delivery fee.
     
  5. Certain items, such as cylinders and large or heavy products, may only be available for UK mainland delivery, which will generally be specified in their description. If you would like a quote for delivery outside the UK mainland, please contact us.
     
  6. Any claim relating to a defect in the quality or condition of the goods (fault and/or suitability for use) must be communicated to us by email within 14 days of delivery, after which you will be considered to have accepted the products. Any fault or defect that arises after this period should be reported to us as soon as possible for a prompt resolution. Details are outlined in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
     
  7. All orders outside the UK will only be shipped to the registered billing address. All orders paid via PayPal, whether domestic or international, will only be dispatched to the verified Paypal address.

  8. Depending on the size, weight and overall value of the goods and delivery destination, we will use a courier service of our choice.

  9. We cannot be responsible for delays caused by courier companies we utilise or delays due to customer absence from a delivery address, incorrect address at checkout, or any customs clearance issues. If any shipment is not collected at the delivery address specified by you within the timeframe set by the courier/delivery service and dispatched orders are returned to us, you will be liable for any additional courier charges.

  10. Risk of damage to or loss of the product shall pass to you at the point at which they are delivered or a courier package is signed for. Please check any package for possible damage and make sure the parcel is intact, unopened and undamaged before accepting/signing for it.

  11. For courier consignments, we reserve the right to charge any additional fees for redirecting to an address other than the original delivery address specified in your order.

  12. If your order, including orders that qualify for free UK mainland delivery, is returned to us and cancelled for any of the reasons listed below, you will only receive a partial refund: The refund amount will be the original purchase price minus any outbound and inbound shipping costs, and any applicable customs duties, local taxes, courier handling fees, penalties, or additional shipping charges:
    1. You provided an incorrect or incomplete address.
    2. You failed or refused to receive or collect the item from the courier or postal service at the provided address.
    3. You failed to clear any import through customs (including failure to pay customs duties, local taxes, and clearance or deferment fees).

If your order needs to be resent for any of the reasons listed above, you will be responsible for any extra shipping charges, even if your original order qualified for free UK mainland delivery.

TRADE RESTRICTIONS ON EXPORT

Some of our products from select manufacturers may be subject to trading restrictions outside the UK or the EEA (e.g., Apeks, Aqualung, Scubapro, Fourth Element). If you have any questions about these restrictions or about where and how to obtain these products in your area, you are advised to contact us before making a purchase. Additionally, freight forwarding companies offering reasonable rates can provide physical delivery addresses in various countries, including the UK.

While we cannot give specific advice, Aramex Shop & Ship appears to offer reasonable prices and reliable, fast delivery worldwide, whereas Alfaparcel deals specifically with the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Armenia, and Turkmenistan. Shipping rates generally include a base charge plus a weight charge. Our own studies have shown these are usually at or below the price we would have capped for international shipping if we sent the item directly. However, please keep in mind that taxes and customs duties will apply to purchases.  

Please also note that if any fault develops with your product(s) they will need to be sent back to the country of purchase where you will be required to cover shipping charges to and from the UK.

GLOBAL SHIPPING RATE EXCEPTIONS FOR WEIGHTS, CYLINDERS, SCOOTERS

For international orders that include Weights, Cylinders (excluding suit inflation bottles) and SUEX Scooters please contact us in advance before placing your order.

These products are not included in our global max-capped shipping rates and are only shipped outside the UK mainland after freight costs are calculated based on the total weight, parcel dimensions, delivery location, and courier service used. We will inform you of this cost before processing any order—once you agree to the fee.

All cylinders we ship within and outside the UK mainland are filled and tested on site before being emptied for dispatch. Cylinders shipped outside the UK will be empty and will also have their valves removed, requiring reassembly after you receive delivery. Twinset manifolds and bands will also be removed and dispatched together with the cylinders for safe international shipping.

      DELIVERY TERMS FOR BFPO ADDRESSES

      We deliver to BFPO addresses provided that the weight and dimensions of the items ordered meet the requirements of the BFPO indicator list. Items sent to BFPO postcodes are subject to the BFPO Prohibited and Restricted Items list. The delivery fee to a BFPO address is a fixed £20.00 per order. 

      To enable us to accept and process any BFPO order, please email us in advance of placing your order so we can assist you with opening a VAT-exempt account for your purchase(s). Please let us know:

      Your full name and email address to be used at checkout
      Service number and rank
      Unit or Regiment
      Operation / Location name
      BFPO (address) Post Code
      A letter authorising the purchase on BFPO terms by your commanding Officer

      UK 20% VAT will then be deducted at checkout. Our BFPO fixed shipping fee is £23 regardless of the order total.

      If needed, you can check your BFPO Post Code on the British Forces Post Office Locations list. Our address validation for your order will be based on the information you provide and the BFPO Locations List. Please note that your BFPO postcode is a six-digit number, usually starting with BF1, similar to UK postcodes. 

      * Restricted items related to diving may include stand-alone Lithium and similar batteries and cells that are not attached, included or connected to a device. Before placing an order with us for a BFPO address that includes such goods, please check the above links or contact us for advice. 

      * An authorisation letter [example] will:

      Confirm that [rank and name] is a [title] officer serving at [location] under the command of [command] and assigned to this unit from [date] to [date], listing full name, rank and address underneath.

      It will then note the [said country] is outside the VAT territory of the UK and that goods supplied to [rank and name] for his/her personal use may be relieved of VAT for the period defined above, in accordance with the HMRC policy to be found at https://www.gov.uk/hmrc-internal-manuals/vat-exports-of-goods-from-the-uk/vexp50600
